Fix-It-Friday #150

I'm not big on forums and such, but I do like to hang around iheartfaces sometimes and get my daily dose of editing advice. I have never really done a Fix-It-Friday from there, but I think I might start making it a weekly feature to help work on my edits and to possibly help someone else out with their own.

This week they've shared a photo from Arden Prucha Photography. I absolutely loved it!

Fortunately the image was already in good shape, but I did a little work taking out the folds in the blanket in the background with the healing brush and cropped it to showcase baby a little better.

For the first edited image, I tried to take some of the red out of the skin with the curves tool, then simply used EE Coast to Coast action (in Keyport). I loved that it was a little muted yet still had some natural color to it.

And since you all know how I love black and white photos, I decided to edit in B&W as well. For the second image I used an action I've had for a very, very long time (I have no idea where it even came from at this point - sorry!) and then bumped up the curves a little so that it didn't look so bland.

I really try not to do a lot of editing to my images (besides the occasional clearing the skin or curves and such) and it was definitely nice to do something a little different. :)
