While I love the convenience of a digital camera, I love the look of film. There's something about having to shoot your subject just right the first time (since you can't see your photo until after development), or - what I usually end up doing - shooting and praying. You know, shooting and praying that the photo will come out okay. It's really fun to open up that pack of film and be surprised at what you find.

However, the downside is how much it costs to develop film these days. I'm no where near experienced enough to develop film on my own (although I'd love to learn one day), so I have to rely on local stores to do it for me. Right now I have so many rolls of film that need to be developed, but so many others things are taking financial priority at the moment that I have to wait. I would like to develop a few more before the year is out. We'll see. :)
